Diving Emergency Management Provider Program
Do all of these courses catch your interest? (They should!) If so, the Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program is right for you. When accidents occur, either on land or in the water, there are often multiple problems that compound. For instance, a diver may be stung by a venomous creature, ascend too quickly, and end up at the surface with a lung overexpansion injury, a marine life injury, and possibly decompression illness. These conditions can quickly lead to respiratory and/or cardiac arrest. If you’ve completed the DEMP program, you will have the knowledge and training you need to respond to each facet of an accident such as this. This program includes all four of the preceding programs; you will learn all of the knowledge and skills taught in Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid, Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries, and Neurological Assessment.
