Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries
The most serious scuba diving injuries include decompression sickness, arterial gas embolism, lung overexpansion injuries, and near-drowning. Emergency oxygen is the most effective form of first aid for the first three and has been shown to convey significant benefits to near drowning victims as well. In this course, you will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of DCS, AGE, lung overexpansion injuries, near drowning, and how to respond properly to each with emergency oxygen to both conscious and unconscious victims. You will also learn how to handle and maintain oxygen service equipment safely and properly.
